    Chapter Index

When Jian Wuji returned to the inn, Bi Si’an was in the courtyard exercising his energy to regulate his breathing.

    “You’re back.”

Bi Sian looked as normal and calmly greeted Jian Wuji.

However, Jian Wuji looked him up and down, his eyes filled with suspicion.

    “You, who?”

Bithan ignored him, just assuming he was up to something again.

“I’m asking you, who the hell are you? My friend, the Young Alliance Master, doesn’t show such a relaxed expression. When he’s in a good mood, that expression, it’s as if he’s about to hand out a letter of war to an enemy. You quickly get out of my friend’s body!”

Bithan cried out and shook his head.

“Can’t you just have one day where you don’t joke with me?”

“Don’t make more jokes while you’re young, do you want to wait until you’re like your master and my father, who are faceless and joyless all day long? It would be boring if we became like that.”

“I see you’re still the same even when you’re old.”

Jian Wuji couldn’t help but laugh at his words.

    “Say, how did it go?”

“Everything is going well, nothing major except that they are trying to assassinate the ally.”

    “What!”

Knowing that Jian Wuji would never joke about such matters, Bi Sian hurriedly pursued the question:

“What the hell is going on?”

Jian Wu Ji then told Bi Si An the whole story.

“I’ve pushed them to the brink of extinction, and now the only way out for them is to kill the alliance leader and seize control of the Evil Dao Alliance. I’m sorry for involving you, I had no choice.”

Bi Sian didn’t burst into a rage because the ally was in danger, he just nodded silently.

    “Why aren’t you angry?”

“I thought you said that was the only way?”

Jian Wuji then realized that Bi Si An was truly different from before. That once unattainable him was now standing right in front of him.

“As long as the Alliance Master stays in the Alliance Master Hall, they won’t be able to help him.”

The Allied Hall itself was a sturdy fortress, and there were even countless experts secretly guarding it, making it as solid as gold. Shijun He might be able to sneak in with one or two people, but it was absolutely impossible to attack on a large scale.

“They’ll wait for the alliance master to go out to make their move, the deputy army master is the first person to grasp the alliance master’s itinerary, he won’t let this opportunity pass.”

    Jian Wuji nodded approvingly.

“I said that the Demon Lord and the Healing Fairy would arrive in ten days, just so you could catch up with the battle.”

Bi Sian’s face revealed a trace of imperceptible movement. His hideous and ghastly face also appeared to soften a few points because of this trace of movement.

“I appreciate your kindness, but it doesn’t have to be this way.”

Bi Sian said something that made Jian Wuji unexpected.

“Don’t worry about me, just follow your plan.”

    “Are you sure?”

    Bithian nodded.

    “Don’t get used to it.”

Master’s teachings echoed in his ears. Bithian finally realized that this was not the time to fight, but a time when he should bandage his wounds and heal quietly. It wasn’t the time to be hot-blooded, but the time to think calmly.

Jian Wuji could feel that Bi Si An had really grown a lot.

    “You’ve, really changed.”

    “Thanks to you.”

The gazes of the two men, meeting in the air, each saw a trace of sympathy in the other’s eyes.

    “Get some rest then.”

Jian Wuji turned around to leave, but Bi Si An’s voice came from behind him.

    “Thank you.”

Three simple words, but full of Bithan’s sincere gratitude.

“Just talking about it won’t do it, you’ll have to do me a favor.”

Jian Wuji repeated what he had said to Bozi Qiang earlier to Bi Sian.

    “Go ahead.”

“I’ll tell you when this is over.”

    Surprisingly, Bithan agreed without hesitation.

    “Whatever it is, I promise.”

This promise, coming from a man of his word, carries far more weight than a thousand words.

In Jian Wuji’s heart, a warm current immediately surged.

“Aren’t you afraid that I’ll ask you to give up your position as the Young Alliance Master to me?”

Bithan turned and walked into the room without looking back:

“If you really want it, I’ll give it to you.”

“Then I’m going to beg your father!”

The next day, Jian Wuji once again came to the Hall of Alliance Masters.

Walking down the hallway, he stopped once again in front of the giant steel wolf.

“Are you enjoying the wolf statue?”

The sudden question caused Jian Wuji to raise his head in surprise and look towards the escort master who was guiding him, Yin Gong.

Along the way, he kept asking Yin Gong questions, such as “You are in charge of the guards, when do you sleep?” “How long have you practiced the art of concealment to reach such a level?” “Who is controlling the poisonous needle mechanism underneath the Hall of Alliance Masters?” And so on.

However, Indomiya never said a word.

I didn’t think that he’d take the initiative to talk.

“I have seen you stop here every time you pass by, and you seem to be quite interested in this wolf statue.”

Jian Wuji’s gaze once again landed on that steel giant wolf.

“I just thought that it looked lonely.”

The reason he liked this wolf statue was because it reminded him of his father, the Extremely Evil Evil Demon who sat alone in a white room, the Evil Alliance Master who walked alone in the wilderness, and also the silent Escort Master in front of him.

Even, he saw the shadow of himself in his previous life from this wolf statue.

Indigo’s gaze, too, fell on the giant steel wolf. He had never thought that he would feel loneliness from this statue.

It seems that this Demon Sect Young Master is indeed different.

“For some reason, I always felt that it would, one day, come to life.”

Sword Wuji’s voice, once again, rang out.

This time, Indigo was truly shocked. None of the guards under him believed in that legend, and even he, himself, had never taken it seriously.

    “You actually believe that legend?”

Jian Wuji reached out his hand and gently stroked the wolf’s head.

“Hey, don’t be lazy, watch the door properly!”

When he finished speaking, he followed the Indian Palace and continued forward.
