    Chapter Index

“Your father, would he really kneel down to me for my sake?” Jian Wuji of course knew that Bo Ziqiang had already seen through his ploy, he sighed and said:

“I lied to you, my father, would only be angry.”

Jian Wu Ji bowed to Burzillian.

“I’m sorry for using underhanded tactics.”

Jian Wuji frankly admitted his mistake.

“Do you realize that this is despicable?”

    “I know.”

    Bötzjörn’s face, eased a bit.

“I did it out of necessity.”

“You have no choice? What am I forced to do?”

Burzillon was calm on the surface, but inside he was filled with a sense of crisis.

The secret stronghold was attacked, the young alliance master was assassinated, and the mastermind behind the attack was, surprisingly, the deputy military division of the Evil Demon Alliance.

He would never take this matter lightly, otherwise, he wouldn’t have personally come to see Jian Wuji.

He just didn’t want to show his panic in front of the Demon Sect’s Young Sect Master.

Instead, Jian Wuji’s urgency was for his friend.

“I consider the young alliance master, a true friend, and I wish him well in taking over the position of alliance master.”

Boz Qiang realized that Jian Wuji wasn’t lying.

He had a special ability to sense, whether the other party was lying or not.

This ability, however, is not universal, and there are some people that he cannot perceive.

It seems that Jian Wuji, is this kind of person.

The Young Master of the Devil’s Cult, will tell the truth?

    How is that possible?

“Why are you friends with Sian?”

    Jian Wuji replied without hesitation:

“I believe that he can start a new Evil Demon Alliance.”

“A new Evil Demon Alliance? What kind of new Evil Demon Alliance do you call it?”

“I don’t know, that’s the answer he should be looking for, but I do believe that there should be a new ideal for both my magic path and his evil path.”

Jian Wuji knew what Bozi Qiang was thinking because he had once thought the same thing.

Whenever he heard those young people, talking about ideals, he would sneer in his heart:

You are too naive to understand the cruelty of reality.

He’s been through too much, he’s seen too much, and he knows that reality, how cruel, how unforgiving it can be.

But he didn’t give up, because he knew that if he did, there would really be nothing left.

“Your father, what kind of ideals did he give you?”

Bo Ziqiang deliberately brought up the Heavenly Demon, knowing that this was Jian Wuji’s soft underbelly.

“My father said that the Evil Demon Way, is a group of rabble, they only know how to kill and plunder, they have no ideals and no future.”

“What about you? Do you feel the same way?”

“No, I believe that the Evil Demon Road, can also have ideals and a future, we can coexist peacefully with the Demon Sect, and together, we can create a new world.”

    “Childish idea.”

    “Why?”

“Because, human nature is greedy, and you, and Sian, will change.”

Jian Wuji looked up to the sky.

“Before I came here, with the Young Lord, I looked at the sky for a long time, and we both wondered if we would change, what we would become.”

Bo Ziqiang didn’t say anything, and Jian Wuji continued:

“We’ll try and get better, or at least, not get too bad.”

Bo Ziqiang looked at Jian Wuji, he felt that this young man, was very interesting.

“Do you dream of a world where no one dies?”

    “No, I’ll kill more.”

    “!”

Boz Qiang looked at Jian Wuji in surprise.

“I know, this is something that shouldn’t be said by the Demon Sect’s Young Master, nor should it be said to the Evil Demon Alliance Master, but I just hate those, who have no humanity, and I’m going to kill them, all of them.”

Jian Wuji ended the topic with a joking tone.

“Good and evil are rewarded, this phrase, should be said by the wicked, right? They just want to give themselves, a reason to live, alliance master, what do you think?”

Bo Ziqiang realized that he had actually laughed, he was amused by Jian Wuji’s words.

“In your ideal world, we, the Evil Demon Way, have the most deaths, I’m afraid.”

“That’s why I want to support the young alliance leader, so that he can become an alliance leader, who can change the Evil Demon Road.”

Boz Qiang realized that this Demon Sect’s Young Sect Master, was not simple.

    He suddenly remembered Bithan.

He felt that he, was too negligent, that he had allowed the son of the Heavenly Demon, to snatch away his disciple.

He couldn’t lose to the Heavenly Demon, even in the matter of his disciple.

“When did you, come to the Evil Demon Alliance?”

    “The day after tomorrow.”

“When the time comes, I’ll see you.”

Bo Ziqiang had originally planned, to send Sword Wuji back to the Demon Sect, but now, he had changed his mind.

He stood up and said to Jian Wu Ji:

“You go back, tell Sian that I’m disappointed in him.”

“I’ll pass it on to him.”

As Boz Qiang turned to leave, Jian Wuji looked at him and said:

“Please tell the Young Lord of the League not to get used to it.”

    “What do you mean?”

“You tell him and he will understand.”

It seems that this is what they said, between master and disciple.

“I’ll pass it on to him.”

Bötzjörn left, and he got into the carriage with a twinkle in his eye.

    “These two boys, what fun!”

The “kid” in his mouth, besides Jian Wuji, there was also Heavenly Demon.

Although this was just a battle, for him alone, but now, he had pulled the Heavenly Demon, in as well.

Bi Sian and Jian Wu Ji were like two chess pieces that he was playing with.

He, on the other hand, is the one who is in control, of this game.

    “Human Palace.”

    “Belonging.”

    “Master Hyuk is here.”

    “Let him in.”

Burzichiang collected his thoughts and resumed his usual majesty.

He Shijun walked in and bowed to Bozhiqiang.

“Allied Master, you’re looking for me?”

Birzikiang looked at Heshigun with a, scrutinizing gaze.

“How many years has it been since you joined the Evil Demon Alliance?”

“This year, it’s the seventeenth year.”

“How long have you been acting as Chief Warlord, for how long?”

    “Almost two years.”

    “Time flies.”

He Shijun sensed that Boz Qiang was, today, a little different, but he didn’t think much about it.

With all that had happened recently, it was normal for the ally to be in a bad mood.

“Where have you been? I just went to look for you and heard you were out.”

“I went outside and had a bowl of noodles.”

Heshigun knew the noodle shop that Burzillon frequented.

“These are extraordinary times, and it is better for you to be careful.”

He had been monitoring Birze Qiang’s every move, but today, Birze Qiang had taken him by surprise by traveling in secret with only the People’s Palace.

There was some displeasure in He Shijun’s heart, he liked everything to be under his control, he didn’t like surprises.

“I have found out who attacked the secret stronghold.”

The person that Jian Wuji had told him to pay attention to had finally appeared.

    “Who is it?”

“It’s Hall Master Fan of the Extreme Dao Corps.”

    Burzichon sniffed and became furious.

The Polar Regiment, an elite unit under the direct authority of the Alliance Master.

After the former hall master Yeluhan abdicated, the new hall master, Fan Tian, was loyal to Boz Qiang.

    “Fan Tian, you say?”

If Fan Tian was a traitor, that would be the same as, his right and left arms, having one chopped off.

It seemed that what Jian Wuji had said was true, and that He Shijun was really utilizing this opportunity to root out dissidents.

    “Where’s the evidence?”

“It’s all here, the mastermind behind it, is the Demon Cult.”

Heshikun walked to the steps, picked up a document, and handed it to Burzikon.

He acted very calm, without the slightest panic, and Burzichon couldn’t sense that he was lying.

Could it be that he was, indeed, feeling wrong?

He Shijun said with a guilty look on his face as he handed the document to Boz Qiang and then retreated to his original position, his head lowered:

“It seems that the Young Alliance Master, was really confused by the Demon Sect’s Young Sect Master, by the Demon Sect’s Young Sect Master.”

If he hadn’t seen Jian Wuji, perhaps, he would have believed Shijun He’s words.

But now, he was beginning to wonder if Bi Sian, was really being used by Jian Wuji.

    He felt a sudden chill.

Whether it was He Shijun’s betrayal or Jian Wuji’s framing, it all sent shivers down his spine.

“What should be done about this?”

“Hall Master Fan should be immediately relieved of his duties and made to quit the Extreme Dao Corps.”

“Good, we’ll make a decision after we meet the Demon Sect’s Young Sect Master.”

“Yes, Allied Lord, then I’ll take my leave.”

He Shijun bowed respectfully and turned to leave.

    “Wait.”

    Bötzjörn suddenly said.

    “What is it, Allied?”

“I can’t believe that Siuan, would collude with the demonic cult.”

    “Me too.”

“You go back, draw up a list, of candidates for the next Young Alliance Master, and give it to me.”

    “Yes.”

He Shijun turned to leave, and on his face, an imperceptible smile appeared.

He didn’t realize that Boz Qiang was looking at his back, his eyes as cold as Hades in hell.
