    Chapter Index

The rumors she had heard the most recently were about Jian Wuji, and most of those rumors, were unbelievable, but she knew that those rumors, were all true. Therefore, she was very wary of Jian Wuji.

Therefore, she was puzzled by Jian Wuji’s sudden visit. Once was a coincidence, what about twice?

“Could it be, he found something?”

If not, why would he be here in person?

However, she wasn’t worried, she had many ways to get away. She could use the Soul Regeneration Technique on those guards to make them kill Jian Wuji and then take advantage of the chaos to escape.

“My person, loved the flowers you sold her the other day.” Jian Wuji said.

“Beautiful women, they love flowers.” Phantom Lu said.

If Jian Wuji had only come here for this matter, she would have doubted his motives. Jian Wuji, however, opened the door and asked:

    “Let me ask you something.”

“You may ask.” Phantom Lu said.

“Do you know a man who comes here often?” Jian Wu Ji asked.

When Jian Wuji mentioned Situ Sect, Mirage Lü was shocked in her heart, but she did not show it.

“Of course I know him, he often comes here to see the flowers.” Phantom Lu said.

“His name is Situ Zong.” Jian Wuji said.

“He didn’t tell me his name.” Phantom Lu said.

    “He’s dead.” Jian Wuji said.

“Huh? How did that happen?” Phantom Lu said in mock surprise.

Her acting, was so realistic that those who didn’t know, thought that she and Situ Zong, were really friends.

“The Heavenly Demon Sect is investigating the cause of his death, and I’m here because of this matter.” Jian Wuji said.

“So it is.” Phantom Lu said.

She kept her head down and acted scared.

“The Young Sect Master even came to investigate personally, it seems that that guest, his identity is not simple.” Mirage Lü said.

“His death is related to a Demon Sovereign.” Jian Wuji said.

When Mirage Lü heard Jian Wuji’s words, his heart became even more puzzled.

“Could it be that he knows about the Soul Regenerating Demon?”

No, if he knew, he wouldn’t have just sent him alone, he would have brought the other Demon Lords, to capture her.

“He doesn’t know who I am yet.”

The way Jian Wuji looked at her was also filled with suspicion, but there was no conclusive evidence.

“During this period of time, you should not leave the flower garden.” Jian Wuji said.

“I have nowhere to go.” Phantom Lu said.

“Why haven’t any new flower seedlings been delivered recently?” Jian Wuji asked.

Jian Wuji deliberately told her that he had been spying on her.

“I haven’t been feeling well lately, so, I’ve put a moratorium on stocking up.” Mirage Lu said.

Jian Wuji looked at her skeptically.

She had to say this to dispel Jian Wuji’s suspicions.

If she made up other reasons, she would instead arouse Jian Wuji’s suspicion. What she had to do now was to convince Jian Wuji that she would not leave. In order to put her mind at ease, Jian Wuji added another sentence:

“If you are afraid and want to run away, I will list you as a wanted criminal of the Heavenly Demon Cult, and your portrait, will be plastered all over the entire Central Plains, and there will be nowhere for you to run.”

Jian Wuji, caught her weakness. They had been operating in the shadows, and their greatest fear was exposing their identities. If her portrait, was plastered all over the entire Central Plains, she wouldn’t be able to hide anymore.

    Phantom Lu’s heart, sank.

    “Shit!”

She must never reveal her identity.

Jian Wuji walked over to the pot of flowers that Eve had bought and smelled them.

“You know what? What I said when my people told me that there was something wrong with this flower garden?” Jian Wu Ji asked.

“What did you say?” Phantom Lu asked.

“I said, anyone who likes flowers can’t be a bad person.” Jian Wuji said.

Jian Wuji led his men and left the flower garden.

Phantom Lu watched their backs without saying a word.

    “Ah, I’m finally back!”

Sect Master Windsky walked into the Heavenly Devil Sect and took a deep breath. Although this place was not the Windy Sky Sect, but the Heavenly Devil Sect, he had a feeling of coming home.

He and Gao Yue, together, arrived at Jian Wuji’s residence. This was not Jian Wuji’s previous residence, but his newly assigned residence after he became the Young Sect Master, which was even more spacious and luxurious.

“After he became a Young Sect Master, the place where he lives, too, has become imposing.”

In the past, Sect Master Feng Tian never paid attention to Jian Wuji’s residence, but now, he was beginning to pay attention to these details.

“Power, what a good thing.” Sect Master Windsky lamented.

“If you’re envious, go back to the Seaside, your Sect Leader’s Mansion, it’s ten times bigger than here.” Gao Yue said.

“Who envies him? I’m just lamenting.” Sect Leader Windy Sky said.

He walked over to the window and peered into the room.

“Where’s the Second Prince? Why didn’t he come out to greet us when we arrived? Could it be that he forgot about us calling back? Oh, right, I’m the one who called you guys back, right? I’ve completed my mission, since we’re here, let’s stay for a few more days, then, we’ll go and do other things. I still have things to do, so I’ll leave first.”

He had often imitated Sword Wuji, and now, he was able to imitate Sword Wuji in a marvelous manner.

“That second prince who was quite good has now turned into a vicious young sect master.” Sect Master Feng Tian said.

Just then, a familiar voice, came from behind them, “Every time you guys come, you always say bad things about me.”

Sect Leader Windsky did not turn around, he just smiled. He missed this voice.

He turned around and saw Jian Wuji, standing behind him.

“I am, right now, still considered a good Young Sect Leader, and there is still a distance to go before I am vicious.” Sect Leader Windsky said.

“That can’t be said.” Jian Wuji said with a smile.

Although Sect Leader Feng Tian missed Jian Wuji, he couldn’t help but want to tease him.

“Sect Leader, you have worked hard.” Jian Wuji said.

Sect Leader Windy Sky looked at the standing aside.
