Chapter Index

The village looks ordinary, or rather, it deliberately pretends to be ordinary.

The streets were crowded with people, pedestrians, vendors, and even children playing and playing.

If one only looked at the surface, no one would have thought that this was the village of the Valley of the Wicked.

However, underneath this seemingly calm and peaceful appearance, there was a disturbing undercurrent hidden. The villagers’ eyes, their demeanor, and the subtle exchanges between them all reeked of something unusual.

We were aware of those prying eyes in the shadows, but we didn’t move and continued on down the street.

"Not all of the people here are loyal to the Wicked Valley Master, many are coveting his position, just like the Greenwood Cottage, full of deception and deceit."

Because of that, we didn’t just fly in.

We don’t want the people of the Evil People’s Valley to see our arrival as an invasion or a provocation. Once they think we’re coming, the entire villains of the Evil Man’s Valley will rise up and attack us.

All we have to do is disguise ourselves as ordinary visitors and wander around carelessly. There is a world of difference. Thanks to the fact that the Extremely Evil Evil Demon knows the Wicked Valley like the back of his hand, we were able to formulate such an ingenious strategy.

We walked to a clearing and saw a dozen men and women, sitting around drinking and chatting, they were laughing and joking and having a good time.

    Just as we passed them.

They suddenly stood up, ready to fire their concealed weapons at us. However, before they could strike.

    "Shoo!"

    "Boom! Boom! Boom!"

The Blood Heavenly Demoness snatched a step ahead of them with a powerful blade qi that instantly knocked them all down. We had anticipated that they would attack us.

Their acting was good, but there was one fatal break: when we passed by them, none of them even glanced at us. If there were two or three of them, it might have been justifiable, but with a dozen of them, it was unnatural that not a single one of them noticed us.

"Most of the people in the Evil Man Valley are profit-oriented people, they’ll do anything for money. The Evil Man Valley Master, must have already put a bounty on our heads."

Extremely Evil Evil explained. I said with a smile:

"Who would move without a million taels?"

    The Drunken Devil smiled back:

"One million taels a head, of course!"

We joked and laughed as we continued to walk forward. Suddenly, dozens of villains armed with blades rushed out from the woods on both sides.

The One Flower Sword Honored One leapt up and spun around in the air for a week, waving the longsword in his hand, and a sword qi, like a heavenly maiden scattering flowers, shot towards those villains.

    "Ah! Ahh! Aah!"

Those villains, before they had a chance to get close to us, were cut down by the sword qi, and none of them were spared.

One Flower Sword Honored lightly fell back to the ground as if nothing had happened.

We continued to talk and laugh as if the villains, just weeds on the side of the road, were not worth mentioning.

"The Wicked Valley Master isn’t the richest man in the world, so how can he offer one million taels for a single head?"

"That’s why these rabble-rousers were attracted."

As soon as the Drunken Devil’s words fell, several concealed weapons were suddenly shot out from the grass in front of him.

We didn’t panic, each of us dodged sideways, and those hidden weapons, which passed through the gap between the five of us, didn’t hurt us in the slightest.

The Drunken Devil’s figure flickered and disappeared, and in the next moment, he returned to his original position. Those assassins who were ambushed in the bushes did not even have time to let out a scream before they were killed.

The Drunken Devil took a sip of his wine and said lightly:

"I bought them a drink, and now, they’re all asleep."

Although I’ve never seen the Drunken Devil actually strike, but judging from his performance just now, his martial arts skills, should definitely not be underestimated.

We came to the river and the very evil evil demon said:

"We’ll have to cross the river in a boat."

We found a boat and started to cross the river.

    "I’ll row."

I picked up the oars and paddled skillfully. The Blood Sky Demoness looked at me and asked in surprise:

"When did you learn to row? Quite skillful?"

    "What else wouldn’t I do?"

The other three Demon Dignitaries, too, looked at me curiously.

"Why are you guys looking at me like that? I’d be embarrassed …… Okay, I admit it, I like the attention."

Although I was joking, the way they looked at me was a little complicated. I was too all-powerful, and it made them feel a little uneasy.

The boat was traveling fast on the river.

The Drunken Demon looked at the Blood Sky Demoness and suddenly said:

"Senior, you just struck out, what a treasure!"

The Blood Heavenly Demoness was obviously not used to the Drunken Demon’s compliments and said with some embarrassment:

"I don’t usually drink, so I’m pretty tough."

    One Flower Sword Venerable said:

"Why don’t you just say ‘thank you’? Why are you so twisted at your age?"

Although One Flower Sword Venerable was accusing the Blood Heavenly Demoness, her tone, however, was gentle. If it was usual, the Blood Heavenly Demoness would definitely argue with her, but this time, she chose to back down.

    "Thanks."

She actually did thank the drunken demon.

"Senior is polite, I’m just being honest."

The One Flower Sword Venerable looked at the Blood Sky Demoness in surprise, as if she couldn’t believe her ears.

I could sense that the Drunken Demon had been working hard to improve his relationship with the Blood Heavenly Demoness, and his efforts were beginning to pay off.

The Drunken Devil and I exchanged a look, and I told him with my eyes: big brother, you’ve done a great job!

Just then, there was a sudden ripple on the river.

    "Wow!"

A group of villains in fish-scale armor leapt out of the water and fired concealed weapons at us.

    "Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"

I rose up in the air, swung the oars, and knocked the villains, one by one, out of the water.

    "Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Those villains were beaten by me with the oars and fell into the water and died. They were the infamous "Yellow River Water Ghosts" along the Yellow River, specializing in robbing passing ships and killing people and goods. Later, they were wanted by the government and fled to the Valley of Evil Men.

Just the moment I landed back on the boat.

    "Boom!"

There was a loud bang, and the boat we were on, was blown to pieces.

The other devas and I flew into the air at the same time. Those "Yellow River Water Ghosts" poked their heads out of the water and fired poisonous needles at us with the blowpipes in their mouths.

    "Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"
