    Chapter Index

Through the eye holes in the mask, I could see the eyes of the Extremely Evil Evil Demon, which were glowing with excitement.

He obviously didn’t expect that I would make such a bold offer – lifting the restraints in exchange for letting him take off his mask.

At this moment, his heart was filled with both anger and joy. Two diametrically opposed emotions collided fiercely within him, causing him to feel an unprecedented excitement.

I’m pretty sure I’m the first person who’s ever dared to provoke him like that, to disregard his authority like that.

Even my father, that high and mighty Heavenly Demon Sect Master, would maintain a few moments of awe when facing these unruly demon generals.

I, on the other hand, am going the opposite way.

I know that the Extremely Evil Evil Demon enjoys this thrill of wandering on the edge of life and death the most. At this moment, his blood must be boiling, his heartbeat must be accelerating, and his heart must be filled with the desire to conquer.

It was a sick craving, a twisted pleasure.

“What are you going to do if I promise you and then back out afterwards?” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon asked, a hint of provocation in his tone.

“Then I’ll just have to force your mask off.” I said with a smile, but my tone was not to be questioned.

“Come on, let me see if you actually have this ability.” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon said, a trace of coldness flashed in his eyes, and the aura around him, changed.

I knew that he was ready to fight.

I quickly waved my hand and took a few steps backward, saying evilly, “Evil Demon Brother said evil, how would I dare to make a move against you? In case I hurt your face, that would be bad.”

When the Extremely Evil Evil Demon saw me retreating, he collected his aura and his tone returned to calm, “Since you don’t dare to make a move, what are you going to do?”

I looked at him and was silent for a moment, then slowly said, “I won’t do anything.”

My reply froze the Extremely Evil Evil Demon.

He obviously did not expect that I would give such an answer.

“What …… do you mean by this?” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon asked in disbelief.

“I mean, I believe you.” I said in a sincere tone as I looked him in the eyes.

“You …… you believe me?” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon became even more confused, “Don’t you know what kind of person I am?”

“I know,” I nodded, “but I also believe that you are a man of your word.”

The Extremely Evil Evil Demon looked at me with a skeptical look in his eyes.

“Evil Demon Brother, it’s getting late, you’d better hurry back to eat.” I digressed and said.

“You …… “The extremely evil evil demon wanted to say something else, but I waved my hand to interrupt.

“I have a lot of business to take care of, so I won’t see you off.” I said, and turned to walk back to my desk.

The Extremely Evil Evil Demon looked at my back, a complex look flashed in his eyes before he turned around and left the study.

I watched him leave with a sigh of relief.

I know, I made the right bet.

Although the Extremely Evil Evil Demon looked ferocious on the surface, in reality, he was an extremely proud person.

He would never tolerate anyone doubting his commitment.

I didn’t explain it to him because I know that sometimes silence is more powerful than words.

Especially when dealing with someone like the Extremely Evil Evil Demon, the more you explain, the more he will suspect your motives.

Instead of going through all the trouble of explaining it, it would be better to leave him in suspense and let him think and figure it out for himself.

I’m sure he’ll eventually understand what I’m trying to do.

After the Extremely Evil Evil Demon left, I continued to take care of my official business.

I don’t know how long it took, but Cee Dallon knocked on the door and walked in.

“Sect Leader, the Extremely Evil Evil Demon is outside seeking an audience.” Xi Da Long said.

“Let him in.” I said as I put down the pen in my hand.

The Extremely Evil Evil Demon once again entered the study, and in his hands, he held a white mask.

“This is a gift for you.” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon said as he handed me the mask.

“A gift?” I asked, a little confused as I took the mask, “Why did you give me a mask?”

“In honor of our agreement.” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon said with a smile.

I looked at the mask in my hand with mixed feelings.

I originally wanted him to take off his mask, but to my surprise, he gave me a mask instead.

“Brother Evil Demon, what do you mean by that?” I asked.

“It doesn’t mean anything,” the Extremely Evil Evil Demon shook his head, “I just thought it would be cool to see you in a mask.”

I put the mask on my face and immediately felt my eyes darken and it became a little difficult to breathe.

“This mask, it’s so uncomfortable to wear.” I complained.

“Just get used to it.” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon said with a smile.

“I don’t want to get used to it,” I said as I took my mask off, “I’d rather show my true colors.”

“Do you think that everyone is like you, having the courage to show their true colors?” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon asked rhetorically.

“Don’t you have any courage?” I asked.

The Extremely Evil Evil Demon was silent.

I knew that he was avoiding my questions.

“Brother Evil, are you afraid?” I asked again.

“Fear? I’m not afraid of anything!” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon said with forced composure.

“You’re afraid to face your true self.” I looked him straight in the eyes and said, word for word.

The body of the Extremely Evil Evil Demon trembled slightly.

I know, I hit the nail on the head.
