The Extremely Wicked Evil Demon had indeed arrived as promised, and once again paid a visit to the door.

“I thought Brother Evil Demon wouldn’t come today.” I put down the scroll in my hands and said with a smile.

“Now that you hold the power of life and death over me, how would I dare not come?” The Evil Demon said in a teasing tone, obviously flirting with my yesterday’s promise of “leaving you alive”.

“Brother Evil Demon wait a moment, I still have some official business to attend to.” I didn’t pay any attention to his flirting, but instead walked to the desk on my own, picked up a dossier, and carefully flipped through it.

“There’s no harm in it, just go about your business, I’ll just wait here.” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon said, and walked over to the window, admiring the scenery outside.

“Yesterday’s pot of orchids, why is it gone today?” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon suddenly asked.

“Perhaps Lord West took it and watered it.” I replied without looking up, the vermilion pen in my hand, leaving a bright red mark on the dossier.

I continued to bury my head in business, dossier after dossier, which I finished reviewing, stamped, and set aside.

After standing by the window for a while, the Extremely Evil Evil Demon seemed to be bored, so he walked over to my desk and casually sat down.

His laid-back look was as if he was telling me: Since you’re making me wait, I’ll just enjoy this rare moment of leisure.

“Why do you need to go through all this trouble? Wouldn’t it be easier to just kill those disobedient guys?” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon looked at the volumes piled up on my desk with a hint of mockery in his tone.

“Brother Evil does things too simply and roughly, doesn’t he?” I shook my head evilly, “Governing a party’s power is not something that can be solved by fighting and killing.”

“Hahaha, that’s true.” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon couldn’t help but let out a loud laugh at his words.

I looked at the temperamental man in front of me and was on guard.

I knew that his evil countenance, like the calm before the storm, would bring devastation when it erupted.

“Alright, I’m done with it.” I put down the Zhu Pen in my hand and said to the Extremely Evil Evil Demon.

“Will you really keep your promise and spare me?” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon suddenly asked, a hint of inscrutable emotion in his tone.

I had a cold evil in my heart, his words were just a deliberate attempt to test me.

How could he really believe that I would let go of him, a vicious devil with a heart of gold?

I picked up the dagger on the table and made a deep indentation in the tabletop.

“I will leave you alive, but you must promise me one condition.” I looked at the Extremely Evil Evil Demon and said in a calm tone.

“What conditions?” A hint of curiosity flashed in the eyes of the Extremely Evil Evil Demon.

To the right of that indentation, I drew another vertical line, dividing the tabletop into left and right sections.

“You must cross this line to live.” I said, pointing to the vertical line.

“What does this mean?” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon asked in disbelief.

“That’s the bottom line of my tolerance for you.” I said tersely.

“Oh? In that case, if I want to live, I must obtain your approval?” There was a hint of playfulness in the Extremely Evil Evil Demon’s tone.

“That’s right,” I nodded, “Friends also need to respect and understand each other. If you always have a cynical attitude, then between us, we can never be true friends.”

“It’s not easy to get your approval.” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon said with a smile, but there was a hint of imperceptible seriousness in his tone.

“I’m sure that you’ll be able to do it.” I said in a firm tone as I looked him in the eyes.

The gaze of the Extremely Evil Evil Demon darted back and forth between those two engraved marks, seemingly weighing something.

I knew that he had been aroused by me.

People like him love challenges and conquests the most.

The colder I was to him, the more he wanted my approval.

“Aren’t you afraid that your father will blame you for this?” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon suddenly asked.

“I do things without having to explain them to anyone.” I said lightly.

“Hahaha, good! What a ‘no need to explain to anyone’!” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon once again let out a loud laugh, “You really didn’t let me down!”

“Brother Evil Demon, if there’s nothing else, I’ll take my leave.” I stood up and said to the Extremely Evil Evil Demon.

“Wait,” the Extremely Evil Evil Demon called out to me, “I haven’t asked you yet, how exactly did you kill the Soul Regenerating Demon?”

“I have no comment on that question.” I shook my head, refusing to answer.

“Is that so?” A dangerous glint flashed through the eyes of the Extremely Evil Evil Demon, “It seems that you still refuse to trust me completely.”

“Trust is mutual,” I looked him straight in the eyes, “I’ll consider telling you the truth when you’re willing to take off your mask and be genuine with me.”

“Hahaha, interesting, really interesting!” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon once again rose up in great evil, “You really are different!”

“I’m flattered.” I said lightly, but in my heart I was secretly relieved.

I knew that, once again, I had managed to defuse a crisis.

“Brother Evil Demon, please.” I made a “please” gesture, signaling the Evil Demon to leave first.

The Extremely Evil Evil Demon stood up and followed me out of the study.

“Where are you going?” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon asked.

“I’m going to go to the Magic Family Village for lunch.” I replied.

“How about going together.” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon proposed.

“This …… isn’t very good, is it?” I said with mock hesitation.

“What’s so bad about it?” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon said in disbelief, “I just want to see how you, the leader of the Devil Dao, get along with those commoners.”

“Okay then.” I nodded and agreed to his request.

Side by side, we walked out of the Yellow Springs Pavilion and headed in the direction of the Demon Family Village.

Along the way, the Extremely Evil Evil Demon always followed me, not moving an inch.

“Aren’t you worried that I will go on a killing spree in the Demon Family Village?” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon suddenly asked.

“I’m sure that you wouldn’t do that.” I said without looking back.

“Oh? Why are you so sure?” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon’s tone carried a hint of curiosity.

“Because, you are not stupid enough to openly provoke my authority in front of the Yellow Springs Sect Master.” I said indifferently.

“Hahaha, you’re right.” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon couldn’t help but let out a loud laugh at his words.

We arrived at the entrance of the Devil’s Family Village, and the Extremely Evil Evil Demon suddenly stopped in its tracks.

“You know what? I’ve never been to the Demon Family Village before,” he looked at the bustling scene in front of him with a hint of emotion in his tone, “In the past, every time I went out, I would just pass right through here, never stepping foot in this place for half a step.”

“This might be a good thing for the villagers of the Demon Family Village.” I said with a smile.

“Are you mocking me?” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon asked.

“I’m just stating the facts.” I shrugged, “Don’t you think that you’ve brought too much fear and pain, to those civilians?”

“Fear? Pain?” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon snorted coldly, “They should be thanking me, thanking me for making them realize, what true despair is!”

“You’re wrong,” I shook my head, “What they truly desire is a peaceful and tranquil life, not the killing and destruction you bring.”

“Yes?” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon was noncommittally evil, then took a step into the Demon Family Village.

    I followed closely behind.

The villagers of the Devil’s Family Village, after seeing me, stopped their work and saluted me.

However, when they saw the Extremely Evil Evil Demon behind me, they all revealed looks of horror and ducked for cover.

“Why are they so afraid of me?” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon asked in disbelief.

“Because, as they all know, you are the ‘Evil Demon of Extreme Evil’.” I replied.

“But they shouldn’t recognize me.” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon said.

“Look up.” I said, pointing to a stall on the side of the road.

The Extremely Evil Evil Demon looked up, only to see that the stall was filled with all sorts of masks, and among them, there were quite a few that were made to imitate his iconic white mask.

“These damned guys!” When the Extremely Evil Evil Demon saw this, he suddenly became furious and was about to strike out to teach those vendors a lesson.

“Evil Demon Brother, be at ease.” I hastily pulled him back, pointing at a child not far away and said, “Look, how cute that child is.”

I saw the child, with a white mask on his head, waving cheerfully toward us.

“Could you bear, to spoil his wonderful childhood?” I asked.

The Extreme Evil Evil Demon looked at the child’s innocent and evil face, and the anger in his heart, gradually calmed down.

He slowly raised his right hand and waved it at the boy.

The boy laughed even harder when he saw this.

“You see? Even a demon like you can have a gentle side.” I said with a smile.

“Perhaps.” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon was noncommittally evil.

As we continued on our way, we passed by another stall, only to see that it was filled with all sorts of puppets, and among them, there were quite a few made in imitation of the eight demonic generals of the Heavenly Demon Sect of God, as well as the Heavenly Demon himself.

“This …… this is too much, isn’t it?” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon looked at those puppets with a hint of disbelief in his tone.

“What’s excessive about this?” I said evilly, “This shows that the influence of the Heavenly Demon God Sect has penetrated deep into people’s hearts.”

“But, they even dared to take the image of a Heavenly Demon and make it into a puppet to sell, this is simply a great disrespect to Heavenly Demons!” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon said angrily.

“You’re wrong,” I shook my head, “This just shows that the image of the Heavenly Devil has penetrated into the hearts of the people and become the talk of the town after tea. This is a good thing, not a bad thing, for the Heavenly Demon Divine Sect.”

“What you said seems to have a few points.” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon pondered for a moment and slowly said.

“Brother Evil Demon, have you ever thought that the reason why we are feared and hated is because we always stand against them, always bringing them pain and disaster?” I looked at the Extremely Evil Evil Demon and said in a serious tone, “If we can change our ways and live in peace with them, perhaps, they will no longer fear us and hate us.”

“Peaceful coexistence?” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon snorted coldly, “Do you think that’s possible?”

“Why is that impossible?” I asked rhetorically, “We are all human beings, we all have seven emotions and six desires, we all have love and hate. As long as we can let go of the preconceived notions in our hearts and treat each other with sincerity, we will definitely be able to find the path to peaceful coexistence.”

“What you said is too idealized.” The Extremely Evil Evil Demon shook his head, “In this world, there is no absolute good nor absolute evil. Our positions are different and we are destined to become enemies.”

“Maybe.” I sighed and didn’t argue further.
