    Chapter Index

Seeing me and Lonely Moon, Sect Leader Windsky didn’t show the slightest bit of surprise.

“Mind if we share a table?” I asked with a smile.

“What? Can’t wait to show off your newly acquired ‘treasure’ to me?” Sect Master Windsky cast a sidelong glance at us and said in a sour tone.

“If senior didn’t want to see it, why did he have to wait here on purpose?” I asked rhetorically with a smile.

Lone Moon and I sat down across from him.

Sect Leader Feng Tian’s gaze swept over Lonely Moon intentionally or unintentionally. After a few days of rest and recuperation, Lone Moon looked much better, and his entire person appeared to be much more spirited. The Windy Sky Sect Master seems to be a bit uncomfortable with this change in him, and his eyes carry a trace of imperceptible …… despondency?

“Looks like your new master is treating you well.” He looked at Lone Moon and said in a sour tone.

“Eat well, sleep well, everything.” Lone Moon said lightly.

“Has it never occurred to you that he is fattening you up before slaughtering you?” Sect Leader Windsky sneered.

“If that’s the case, I hope that banquet is as grand as possible.” Lone Moon said lightly, not the slightest bit of fear audible in her tone.

I believe that time will wash away everything. One day, Sect Leader Feng Tian will realize how ridiculous his obsession is today. He will think, why was I so persistent in the first place? Now it seems to be nothing more than that. Perhaps he will be relieved, perhaps he will regret it. The human heart is the most elusive thing, I can not predict his future.

“Senior, have you met my father?” I asked, digressing from the topic.

“Seen.” Sect Leader Windsky said with a nod.

“Did you tell him that you want to properly cultivate Qing Xian, so that she can become an even more powerful Demon Demon than the previous Soul Regent Demon Demon Demon Demon Demon Demon Demon Demon Demon Demon Demon Demon Demon Demon Demon Demon Demon?” I asked.

“Said it.” Sect Master Windsky nodded and said, “You’re right, he’s satisfied with this matter.”

“What else did he say?” I asked.

“He also asked when you plan to have Qing Xian end her cultivation and return to the Seaside.” Sect Leader Windsky looked at me and said, “It seems like he’s eager for you to leave the Sacred Sect earlier.”

“How did you answer?” I asked.

“I said that I still need some time to find the lost treasures and to teach Qing Xian some more profound martial arts.” Sect Leader Feng Tian said as he looked at me.

“You did a great job.” I said with a nod.

“What should we do next?” Sect Leader Windy Sky looked at me and asked.

“I’ll figure it out.” I said lightly.

“You’re not going to ask me for treasures again, are you?” Sect Master Windsky looked at me and asked in a wary tone.

“This is something I need to discuss with my military master.” I looked at Sect Leader Feng Tian and said with a smile.

When Sect Leader Windsky heard this, his face sank.

“Are you doing this on purpose to piss me off?” He looked at me and said in a bad tone.

“Senior, you’ve misunderstood.” I looked at Sect Leader Feng Tian and said in a calm tone.

“I’m listening.” Sect Leader Windy Sky looked at me and said.

“You came to the Sacred Sect, and although you lost a beloved one, you gained, however, an even better disciple.” I looked at Sect Leader Feng Tian and said meaningfully, “If you always dwell on the past, you will only lose more.”

When Sect Leader Windsky heard this, his face became even more ugly, but he had no words to retort. Qing Xian was now a Soul Regenerating Demon Sovereign, and he could no longer call out to her like he did before.

“You should focus your mind on the Green Fairy.” I said as I looked at Sect Leader Feng Tian.

Sect Leader Windy Sky didn’t say anything and just silently drank mulled wine.

“Simon the Snow Blower, you are right, you are, indeed, an unearthly hero.” He suddenly opened his mouth and said, with a hint of …… despondency in his tone that he himself did not even notice? “You have so many loyal henchmen around you, while I, ……”

He didn’t say any more, but I knew what he wanted to say.

He wanted to say that Lone Moon was all he had.

And Lone Moon, now gone from him.

“You know what? He actually refused the million taels of silver I offered him for your sake!” He looked at me and said, with a hint of …… jealousy in his tone that he himself didn’t even notice?

I sniffed and was secretly surprised. Lone Moon had actually told Sect Leader Windsky about this matter? What exactly did he want to do?

“He said you gave him something more valuable than money.” Windy Sky Sect Leader looked at me and said, with a hint of …… envy in his tone that he himself didn’t even notice?

I looked at Sect Leader Feng Tian and didn’t say anything. I knew that Lone Moon was doing this to provoke him, to make him die completely.

“Simon the Snow Blower, you won.” Windy Sky Sect Master looked at me and said, with a hint of …… relief in his tone that he himself did not even notice?

    He finally put it down.

    He finally admitted defeat.

He finally realized that he had lost what was most precious to him.

He stood up and turned to leave.

His back looked incredibly forlorn and lonely.

I, for one, have not the slightest sympathy.

    Because, I, am, the winner!

The next day, Lonely Moon arrived at Sect Leader Windy Sky’s residence alone.

“What exactly do you guys want?!” When Sect Leader Windsky saw Lonely Moon, he was instantly enraged and questioned loudly.

“I came to visit you as a guest.” Lone Moon said lightly, his tone calm and unruffled.

“Guest? You still have the face to call yourself a guest?!” Sect Master Windsky angrily stared at Lonely Moon and gritted his teeth.

“Please watch your words.” Lonely Moon said indifferently, “I am now Young Lord Ximen’s military advisor, you should maintain due respect for me.”

“Respect? Do you deserve it?!” Sect Leader Windsky roared.

Lonely Moon ignored his angry roar and walked straight to the table, pouring a cup of tea for herself. He and Lonely Moon had always been the only two people in Sect Leader Feng Tian’s residence, so it was usually Sect Leader Feng Tian who was responsible for making the tea and pouring the water.

“Do you want to poison me to death?” Sect Leader Windsky looked at Lonely Moon and sneered coldly.

“Why would I poison you?” Lonely Moon said faintly, “What good would your death do me?”

“You can divide my territory, my wealth, and everything with Simon the Snow Blower!” Sect Leader Windsky roared.

“You’re overthinking it.” Lone Moon said lightly, “I have no interest in those things.”

“Then why did you betray me?!” Sect Leader Windsky roared.

“I did not betray you.” Lone Moon said lightly, “I just chose a path that suits me better.”

“A path more suitable for you?” Sect Leader Windsky repeated these words, and a trace of imperceptible …… sadness flashed in his eyes?

“Not bad, more suitable for my path.” Lone Moon nodded and said, “I want to do something more meaningful.”

“Something more meaningful?” Sect Master Windsky looked at Lonely Moon and asked, “What is something more meaningful?”

“Aid the bright lord and achieve supremacy.” Lone Moon looked at Sect Leader Feng Tian and said word for word.

“Bright Lord? Hegemony?” Sect Leader Windy Sky repeated these two words, a trace of imperceptible …… confusion flashing in his eyes?

“Do you really believe that Simon the Snow Blower will become a bright lord and will achieve dominance?” He looked at Lonely Moon and asked, with a hint of …… doubt in his tone that he himself didn’t even notice?

“I believe.” Lonely Moon nodded and said in a firm tone.

“Why do you trust him?” Sect Leader Windy Sky asked as he looked at Lonely Moon, his tone carrying a hint of …… jealousy that he himself didn’t even notice?

“Because he is worthy of my trust.” Lone Moon said as she looked at Sect Leader Feng Tian.

Sect Leader Windy Sky was silent.

He didn’t know what to say.

He suddenly realized that he seemed to be really inferior to Simon the Snow Blower.

“Drink tea.” Lone Moon said as she passed a cup of tea to Sect Leader Windy Sky.
