    Chapter Index

    ……

    Takahashi Mito doesn’t like boys.

Being obnoxious and therefore less likely to pay attention to males from a young age, coupled with her condescending personality, this made it difficult for her to make friends among her peers.

This is true for kindergarten, the same for elementary school, and the same for middle school.

She grew a little taller, and her appearance gradually became more refined, but a real friend who could make friends never appeared by her side.

Until …… sometime during my senior year of high school.

She became good friends with a woman with a good personality, and gradually she began to communicate more, to talk to each other, and even though her dislike of men remained unchanged, at least she had a companion by her side.

She thought that her high school life would end in such a leisurely atmosphere, but an incident suspended all her associations.

Takahashi Mito witnessed a boy bullying a female classmate, she couldn’t look away so she stepped forward to argue, the boy across from her shoved her shoulder so hard that she ended up accidentally scratching the boy’s eye with the tip of her pen, instantly blood flowed from the eye socket and a few of the students in the surrounding class screamed in fear.

Also because of this incident Takahashi Mito was suspended, waiting for the school authorities to follow up the notice, but according to what she knows, the male classmates in collaboration with a few classmates to do perjury, together want to get her to drop out, but she is not the slightest bit panicked because there is still that friend of hers who can help her testify, but ……

Her always lively friend was looking incredibly cowardly at the moment, afraid that it would affect her subsequent high school life, and it should be said that in her, Takahashi Mito saw the vestigial feeling of her desperately wanting to clear the air.

But she was clearly her best friend.

Why wouldn’t she want to testify for herself?

Oh, so it was all in my head.

In her mind, I’m probably just an ordinary classmate that she talks to.

Takahashi Mito slowly went from angry to numb, she could have used her father’s connections to make those guys pay accordingly, but now, she felt like nothing mattered.

    Eventually, she transferred.

Saying goodbye to everything and everyone and deleting her “best friend”.

When she came to the new school, everything had to go on, and after spending more than ten years of her life alone, there was nothing uncomfortable about returning to it again, except that she was even more cold and irritable with people and things than before.

Wasn’t there once something to the effect that I could have endured the darkness if I hadn’t seen the light.

Having friends will be hurt instead, then she simply stopped making friends with people, listening to the words of the people around her talking about her, she remembered it in her heart, this resistance and inner stubbornness collide with each other, and eventually formed a special kind of sentiment.

Teenagers always like to proclaim their maturity by hurting themselves, which is actually a sign of immaturity in itself.

A week after the start of the school year, a short girl with glasses and greasy hair appeared in front of her, with a shy and formal look she still can’t forget, and that was also the first time Takahashi Mito and Hayakawa saw each other.

“Can I get to know you …… If, if you’re busy right now, it’s okay if I come by later ……”

The voice was as light as a mosquito.

Her head was buried so deeply in the hair on either side that she couldn’t even see her proper face.

Takahashi Mito didn’t pay any attention to her, and soon the other party walked away, expecting that to be the end of it, until noon when the other party came running over again with her ass in the air, with two orders of fried noodles and bread in her hand.

Said I’ve been seeing her buy chow mein bread, so I got her a copy.

Takahashi Mito felt the other’s thoughts, but the familiarity couldn’t help but bring back memories of the past, which made her want nothing more than to be alone.

Afterwards, Hayakawa Keiko was just as busy as her follower, and Takahashi Mito really treated her like a master-servant relationship, many times arguing with her just to get rid of her.

But every time Hayakawa bowed his head and apologized, and that kind disposition over time also touched Takahashi Midu’s heart once again.

Her heart is kind, and with this softening, slowly her treatment of Hayakawa begins to change for the better, and in the end the two become good friends again.

Even on top of that add the word most, some aspects of her will help Hayakawa to reject off some of the finger pointing between classmates, on the other hand Hayakawa also often a sentence can make her stop the fire, although the exchange between the two sounds like the relationship is not very good, but in the heart of Takahashi Mido, Hayakawa has become her best friend.

Then after that she met Natsuki Aoi.

    That guy!

She really hated him at first, found him annoying in every way, but when she thought about it she couldn’t tell which way, she just assumed it was because of the boys.

But with him there is always a kind of inexplicable fate, always in some should not see his place to meet him, there are a lot of misunderstandings and quarrels between the two, even their own have played him, but the guy is good, but also will counterattack, the two people who do not serve anyone.

But it’s this conflict that makes Mito Takahashi feel something real.

That night in particular, she had let her guard down for the first time in the face of a hot table, the gusts of heat rising from the meal and the tantalizing aroma, and she would probably always remember that image.

Time had come, and she was surrounded by more friends, and she had curbed her temper, and this time, this time she was going to believe it all again.

    ……

    “Metro? Metro?”

Mito Takahashi woke up to the sound of a call.

When she opened her eyes, Hayakawa on her right side was looking at her worriedly.

“Eh?” A sound of disbelief escaped her lips.

Gazing around, it wasn’t just Hayakawa. Ayano, Rina, Ryuusakura, and so on were all standing around with a look of concern shining in their eyes.

Takahashi Midu slowly sat up, only to realize that he had just been lying on Hayakawa s lap, and that he …… was asleep?

“Sorry! Metro, I forgot that the box of chocolates was liquor-centered, and you were so red in the face just now that I was literally about to die of shock!” Hayakawa hurriedly bowed his head and apologized.

“Yeah, you didn’t respond to how you were called, and almost we were ready to take you to the hospital.”

Takahashi Mito froze, and after a few moments of staring, she shook off her head and looked around at the group of concerned friends around her again.

    “I’m fine, thanks for asking.”

It was rare for her to express her gratitude in front of so many people, and Ayano raised her eyebrows gently.

“If it’s okay, we should get back, the fireworks have been over for almost twenty minutes, we can still catch the last bus now.”

Aoi Natsuki smiled and extended her hand towards her.

The fingers of Takahashi Mito’s right hand trembled slightly as she looked at the pair of male hands, and after a few moments of effort she slowly raised her hand.

The moment she placed her fingertips on the other’s palm, she felt as if she had been electrocuted, and goosebumps rose all over her body.

This is the palm of a man’s hand ……

Growing up she’d only ever touched her father’s palms, and Arai’s were just as large.

Aoi grabbed her hand and pulled her up, and Takahashi Midu felt the calloused part of his palm, hard and a little rough.

    And it’s extra warm.
