    Chapter Index

“Come on in, don’t mess with the buttons and switches in the broadcasting room. Otherwise our chat will become a school-wide broadcast.” Ye Mei used the key to open the door of the broadcasting room and reached out in invitation.

The broadcasting room had a computer, amplifiers, sequencers, mixers, broadcasting mainframes, microphones, and other equipment, and a cubicle next to it that was supposed to be the dormitory.

Two desks cobbled together and draped in a plaid tablecloth held many letters from readers.

Ye Mei led Cheng Ming and Jing to sit down on the bench and immediately ran to pour two cups of hot water.

    “Thanks.”

Lin Jingyi said as she held a hot disposable plastic cup.

Ye Mei poured herself another glass of water and sat across from the two, spinning the glass.

The trio had run all the way, and now that they were sitting still and it was warmer indoors than it was outside, beads of sweat were seething on their foreheads, and they were inhaling and exhaling in big gulps of air.

    “Hoo-ha-ha ……”

Lin Jingyi took out a handkerchief and wiped the sweat from Cheng Ming’s head and wiped herself.

Ye Mei looked down at the ripples of water in the cup, looked up to steal a glance at Cheng Ming and Lin Jingyi, lowered her head like a frightened bunny, and casually wiped her hand to wipe the sweat from her forehead.

For a moment, they looked at each other, not knowing what to say, and fell into silence, the atmosphere seeming a bit awkward.

“Say something quickly, huh?” Lin Jingyi stabbed Cheng Ming with her arm and signaled with her eyes.

“Ye Mei, it won’t cause you any trouble if we go into the broadcasting studio to play, right?” Cheng Ming asked as he casually found a topic to open the conversation.

“It won’t be, as long as you don’t get caught by the older sisters they’ll be fine, and even if they do it shouldn’t matter, the older sisters are very nice people.”

“I didn’t expect Ye Mei to be so good, actually became an announcer, I just can’t do it at all.” Lin Jingyi sighed with her hands resting on her cheeks, “It feels like I don’t have any specialties, an ordinary person, you guys, one by one, are all like demons, alas ……”

“You guys just keep calling me Little Leaf, in fact, I’m not that good, it’s just that I’ve enrolled in a vocal class before and mastered the correct way of vocalization, the teacher there complimented me on my good voice, and I’ve become confident enough to dare to speak out loud.”

“And wasn’t my mom an elementary school language teacher? When I was a kid, she was very strict about my pronunciation, and if I didn’t speak standardly, she would hit me on the palm of my hand.” Ye Mei spat out her little tongue and said.

“Sayaka does have a nice, soft voice, and it doesn’t come off as pretentious.”

Cheng Ming agreed with this point, listening to Ye Mei’s screams while spanking her ass was a kind of enjoyment, giving men a great desire to conquer.

Ye Mei’s Mei is not like Chen Ziyi’s foxy expression on her face, nor is it like Jing Jing’s flirtatious expression on her figure, but rather it is like a silky and charming voice.

“Does Little Leaf plan to become an announcer in a TV station in the future? Or are you going to be a star singer?” Lin Jingyi asked with glittering eyes.

“That kind of I can’t lah, I didn’t think that far, just think about studying well for the college entrance exam, and then go to college ……” Ye Mei stole a glance at Cheng Ming, as long as it can be in the same city, it’s good.

“I had thought that the school would not let me be an announcer because of my father’s matter, but it turned out that it didn’t.” Ye Mei said thankfully.

This one big case involved a lot of characters after all, and a bunch of people went in.

There were a bunch of people in the second high school who were the sons of “sinners” and were hiding them, so naturally they didn’t spread the word.

“It still doesn’t matter in high school, but it’s hard to tell later on. Whether it’s joining the party or a job that requires a political review.” Cheng Ming reminded.

“Well, I’m mentally prepared for it, and it’s nice to be a normal person.”

    “Ye Mei, are you back?”

A female voice came from the cubicle.

“Is it a schoolmate?” Cheng Ming asked.

Ye Mei nodded and said, “Probably just woke up.”

“Sayaka, we’ll go first then, bye.”

Lin Jingyi hurriedly grabbed Cheng Ming’s arm and ran towards the door, as if she was a thief.

“Well, let’s play again next time.” Ye Mei waved her hand towards them, and called out towards the cubicle, “Senior sister, it’s me, I’m chatting with my friend.”

    “Any boys?”

    “No no.”

It’s a good thing Cheng Ming didn’t say much, or he would have been exposed even earlier.

After the chance encounter, Cheng Ming and Lin Jingyi re-stood at the school entrance.

“Xiao Ming, Ye Mei is alone now, right?”

    “Uh-huh.”

    “She’s tough.”

“She was having to be strong.”

Cheng Ming had sort of witnessed Ye Mei’s passage from collapse and then slowly recovering to a normal person, but was she considered a normal person now?

“I’m supposed to hate her, but when I see her scared look, it makes me look like the bad guy.”

It’s not quite true to say that it’s completely unraveled, it’s impossible to shave off the stigma in your heart just by meeting someone, plus you played together again as children, and all sorts of emotions are mixed together.

“Ye Mei keeps peeking at you, did you do something to her?”

“I just care for her a little bit every week when I have time, and you know I took advantage of her kindness before to gather evidence. Anyway, I’m still a little too upset to leave her to her own devices, so consider it a self-satisfying act of kindness.”

“So, didn’t do anything extra, did you?”

    “Extra things mean?”

“Fill the void inside her, she doesn’t have a family anymore, you become her family or something.”

“How is this possible ahaha ……” Cheng Ming scratched the back of his head and laughed dryly.

The results of the competition came out on Wednesday, and Chen Ziyi was unquestionably qualified for the winter camp.

Surprisingly Zhou Li, who also applied for math, also got qualified, so it seems she prepared quite a lot.

“Ah lee lee? What’s going on? Cheng Ming, isn’t physics your strong point?”

The unqualified Cheng Ming was given a wave of mocking output by Zhou Li’s face.

Give me a break. Next year’s informatics competition will show you who’s the real king.

On the last weekend before the exam, Zhang Jiajia proposed a study session at Cheng Ming’s new home, inviting Xu Juan, Chen ZiYi, and Jing Jing to come along to review.

Cheng Ming certainly wouldn’t be so narcissistic as to think that Zhang Jiajia was plotting against him and had non-interesting thoughts, but rather he was craving for Chen Ziyi’s pleasing study notes and the key points that she had underlined.

But she is a firm quiet party, can not just for the sake of study notes on the low, can only find an excuse, politely borrow notes from Chen Ziyi.

Ren was eagerly awaiting to hear that Jing was coming over for the weekend.

Although studying in the same city, Rei and Jing really haven’t seen each other a few times, and when Jing comes over to play, Rei mostly just goes back home to be with her grandfather, perfectly staggered.

When Cheng Ming and Jing Jing went to the old mansion in Mingxi Village to play, they also mostly thought about doing that kind of thing and didn’t spend much time with Xiao Ren.

The weekend home is full of warbling girls, Cheng Ming also ran to the library, really studied with Wang Hao, I really want to take pictures to remember, bring back to show mom a glance, we really studied in the library.

But studying with a man is really inefficient, and it’s still cold in the library. Especially since Wang Hao was always thinking of talking to him about the game, or asking about the progress of Hero Kill.

He even brought over the King of Games deck, two pairs, having guessed that Cheng Ming wouldn’t bring it.

“After you finish your exams, I’ll send you a set of Heroic Kills cards to play however you want over winter break. But you’ve got to do well on your finals first, or your mom will ask, and you and I will both be dead… my turn, draw cards ……”
